Magnesium?

Hey Folks--

Can you recommend a MG supplement? What brand and website can I buy it on?

I no longer take a multi but have been reading some positive articles on MG.

I currently take:

Digestive Enzymes
Probiotics
EPA-DHA Fish oil.
Creatine

Thanks Robb!

Just ordered some.

What Supplements do you take on a daily basis? Would love to see something like that from someone with your background.

Robb-

Are you a fan of Source Naturals supplements in general?

Robb Wolf 11-14-2006 12:47 PM

In general i think they are good quality. There are soooo many brands out there now I have not kept track of many. SN is an old stand by.

Heard great things about Innate response also.

Yael Grauer 11-14-2006 01:49 PM

Innate Response offers whole-food based magnesium, as opposed to mineral chelates.

Thanks Yael--

Is the food based not as good?

Seems as if it would be better. No?

Yael Grauer 11-14-2006 02:12 PM

According to Innate Response's advertising :) the body can process food-based supplements better...they are retained in the body longer and the utilization level is higher. Also there are all kinds of peptides, enzymes, etc. from the whole foods themselves that aid in absorption.

I haven't used their magnesium yet but I've been pretty impressed with other Innate Response supplements. Got some free samples at a botanical med conference once. Good stuff, good company, IMO.

But I don't want to disagree with Robb because it always makes me look stupid :) so you can always try them both and see which one works better for you!

Its hard to get enough magnesium in 1 pill...the SN product Id like(400mg in 2 tabs) but was 50mg of B6 necessary? Seems excessive if your also taking a multivit.
