Veggies and Fruit
I've got this friend who is trying to do the whole Paleo thing. However, this friend REALLY likes fruit, but isn't such a fan of the veggies. To what degree do you think my friend's preference for fruit will hinder his fat loss/performance goals?
Right now, the balance of produce I'm...I mean he's consuming would be hovering at about 70 % fruit and 30 % veggies. If you're so inclined, please elaborate for my friend on the negative effects on fat loss/performance that fruit could have.
Again, this is just some information I want to give my friend.
MY diet is all squared away. I am 100% paleo all day, every day.

Probably not so much an issue in the summer time as it would be in the winter (assuming the rest of his diet is on par and he's working out consistently). We tend to put more fat on during the winter months as our bodies natural defense mechanism to deal with starvation (long, cold hungry days) begins to kicks in. Adding fruit (simple sugars) and other carbs to the mix as nature provides us with this extra later of insulation - is a recipe for an extra few pounds of fat around the waistline.
Or he can try it out for a few weeks and see what happens. Figured I'd save him the hassle though :>)
