Paleo Food List?
I am starting paleo today and right now im going to be taking in around 1700-1900kcal in all healthy foods but right now its mostly lettuce, tomatoes, onions, tuna, chicken breast, and nuts. Is there an online database that has a very nice list of paleo foods or perhaps meals with recipes?
I just did a count to see how much Ill be eating on fitday to get my calories and my stats r looking like this
Carbs - 151g
Fat - 90g
Protein - 168g
Fiber - 52g
Does this look reasonable? For all healthy foods Im getting alot of carbs all from which comes from veggies, apples and nuts, same with fats.
Optimally, you would also be eating a lot of green veggies, ie kale, zucchini, spinach, broccoli, collards, asparagus, etc...Then there are other veggie ie: turnips, radish, cauliflower, etc. Dont limit yourself to lettuce and tomatoes (which are really fruits btw)!
I would also look for a good quality jerky (w/out the additives) and think about including canned sardines in olive oil and canned wild salmon on occas. Then there are hard boiled eggs as well.
Think a wide variety of possibilities. Otherwise life really does get boring and you wont be getting all the nutrients your body needs and craves:-)
