Dot Drill Feedback
Thought I'd report on our trial run of the Dot Drill inspired by Josh Everett's recent PM article. We used athletic tape for the dots and did one practice run. The sequence from BFS was used since I had it in my notes but I think its the same or close to what Coach E described. Five patterns/Six repeats per pattern:
Bennett - 1:17
Wes - 1:37
Neither trainee had heard of the Dot Drill prior and with 50-60sec. described as 'Great' by BFS, I was pleased with the times. I think this is a great way to warmup, fun, competitive, and a good metric to chart on the whiteboard. I'll follow-up and see how many more exposures it takes to get these guys below the minute mark. They both play indoor soccor and think the D-Drill will benefit that. We'll observe, measure, and report. Until then,,,
