grocery time coconut oil?
I'm going shopping tomorrow and here's the list so far:
avocados sardines, kippers, salmon, tuna (all canned) olive oil coconut oil almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds bacon (you can microwave it right?) One question though: what kind of coconut oil is best? Refined, unrefined, virgin, extra virgin, organic, etc.??? |
Organic extra virgin.

I couldn't source any at the local grocery stores - I had to get it at the health food store.

I know that 'cold pressed' is suppose to be the most natural/whole form of olive oil avaliable. Maybe they offer a similar style of extraction with coconuts?
|
I think the type you get depends on whether or not you like the flavor of coconut at all in your oil and you cooking. If you don't want any coconut flavor in it, then go with expellar pressed coconut oil, but if you like a little of the coconut flavor, then go with the extra virgin oil. It can be a bit tough to fine. I get mine online at the site where I get my supplements. I just place an order every 3-4 months so I'm not paying for more shipping than I need to.

Where do you get yours from Liz? And what brand/type of coconut oil?

Liz, if you have an affiliation with the site, you'd probably do better in this community to be forthcoming about it. |
Ugg sorry, I use F.lux and missed the blue coloured link in her post.
