Last week I did a scaled down version of Helen. Mind you I am a self taught olympic lifter, so this might explain my issue.
I have a sharp pain in my upper back/ trap. It is just to the right of my spine. It is not an excruciating pain, but it bugs nonetheless.
It comes and goes, but seems to affect me when I am carrying something that has a bit of weigh to it.
Do you guys think that I pinched a nerve somehow? It doesn't feel like a pulled muscle.
To remedy, should I get a message, accupuncture, chiropractor???
I was at my mother in laws over the weekend and she had a heavy duty foam roller...I tried this and it seemed to work a bit, but the pain is still there.
Sorry for the long winded question. Any input is appreciated....
See a physical therapist or chiro...
Could be a pinched nerve or maybe one of your facets popping out of alignment or something like you partially pulled/strained one of your muscles in your neck.
Too tough to tell honestly which is why you should see a professinal
Thanks Steve! I was hoping you would chime in...I figured it'd be hard to diagnose via the internet :D I was thinking of going to a chiro, but have never been to one.
Those guys kind of scare me. From what I've heard you can't just go once, but I really have no clue.
I'll look into what my insurance covers.
Also....track nutritional changes....as many get more "pains" when they up their intake of breads/gluten/sugar as well....inflammation thing.
Yeah Mike....I love your blog by the way. I am trying to cut grains out of my diet as much as possible, but I still eat the occasional sandwich.
I'm going to try accupuncture tomorrow:D
