Door Pullups

I normally have a pullup bar, a tree branch, or my rings handy to do pullups, but i've often seen people mention the door pullup if you're at a hotel or something and are just itchin to pull something.

i've never really done them, but i'm at work right now and i was trying to wake myself up so i hopped up on the door. i was curious if these can be used to improve pullup form in a similar fashion as the wall squat. anybody have any opinions?

Toss an old sock on top for the grip, and jam the door firmly in both directions... better than nothing.

That's PPV.

I went on a trip and tried door pullups for a two week period in sets of 20. They seemed a bit harder on the arms than the lats. I still recommend a bar or branch. Even low bars can be used if you can maintain an L-sit.
