Interesting stuff from Lyle on the maximum amount of muscle that can be realistically attained.

The bias is towards natural bodybuilders, but even allowing a bit more fat, it's probably hard to carry much more LBM.

That was a good article, brings to light the reality of what is possible versus what is some major mind game that getting worked up over such a topic can do to people.

I just got around to reading that article. It was good. I clicked through to calculate my potential weight at 10% BF. Here are the results.

Well I have a 17 to 17. 5 neck and I just measured my forearms and they are right at 12.75 inches so not that far off. But the rest of the numbers holee crap! Apparently I am a little under my potential....

I've been passing this one around for a while (mainly Casey Butts' stuff). The two interesting conclusions are: 1) your own max potential, which is worth knowing, and 2) the max that anyone seems to obtain, which tells you a lot about where humans lie, how many people are certainly on drugs, and how easy it is to overestimate the amount of lean mass in a body.
