SLAP(tear) your Momma
Hello everyone:
I'm not a regular poster (most anything I desire to know I can do a quick search), and I rarely contribute because I know very little compared with others on this board. I had a type II slap tear repaired at the end of April, so I'm about 4 months out. I'm just looking for others experience (or secondhand knowledge) of what my life in the gym will be like when I return? I know certain things are out, or are they? Short story: I'm looking for someone to tell me "You'll be OK." Any takers? |
Just listen to your surgeon and physical therapist. You should be fine to get back to activity though.
One of the SLAP lesion guys I know (pitcher) is back to pitching again. Just do what you gotta do with rehab, and you should be fine. :) |
YouTube "Diesel Crew shoulder rehab".
Read all of Cressey's stuff at T-Nation. |
Definitely listen to your PT hopefully you have a PT that has worked with athletes. There is a difference. I am in PT right now and it is amazing what I have learned and been able to put into practice in a very short period of time.
The diesel crew shoulder rehab - prehab stuff is incredible. I actually got my PT doing some of the exercises from it. |
