M/21/5'9"/175 10 Thrusters - 95lbs Run 200 meters 9 Thrusters Run 200 meters 8 Thrusters Run 200 meters... all the way down to 1 15:41 First wod after a nice weekend off in our nation's capital. Just tried to maintain a decent pace throughout, without walking or putting the weight down. Thrusters were easy and in good form, while running was a little more annoying. |
8/3/10
Press 3-3-3-1-1-1
95-115-135-145pr-150pr-155pr then... 7 rounds for time: 7 sdhp 75lbs 12 resetting push ups 9:25 Was a bit tired to start but ended up with hitting some good lifts and getting through the metcon alright. Press felt good, sdhp took some getting used to, and those push ups are still harder than they look. I feel like not killing myself in these workouts is going to start paying dividends. |
8/4/10
4 rounds for time:
7 hang power snatches 95lbs 14 knees to elbows 21 back ext Approximately 12 min Snatches were good, knees to elbows took forever, and back exts were taxing after a while. Felt my shoulder tell me during the snatches that I should of stretched more, and lower back was uber tight afterwards (especially my left side). Hands feel a little rough from the hanging and pulling, rest day tomorrow. Have. to. stretch. more. |
Question: Lower back... uneveness?
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for making the right side of my lower back as strong as my left side. High reps of movements such as dead lifts and back exts leave me feeling as though I'm exclusively using my left side, making injury more likely, and my lifts less efficient. I'll start off fine but I think as the reps become more difficult I subconsciously start relying on my left side.
