Saw it last night... that was an awesome fight scene, and a great movie all around.

Mark Twight obviously did a great job getting those actors in shape for the movie.

Bodies GREAT!
Action Non-Stop but not at all realistic.
Acting What... acting? We don't need no... stupid... acting.
Plot Fight
Secondary Plot Violence

Ladies, skip this one. Guys, you'll love it.

Saw it last night, awesome. I love that jumping twisty stab thing that they do, and all the bodychecking with their shields.

Does a hockey game break out during all that fighting?

Ahh yes, the jumping twisty stab thing. One of the more dangerous moves one can perform with a sword. I've been working on mastering that move for some time, but to no avail. Someday.

I saw it this past weekend. Wasn't expecting any profound dialog or oscar caliber acting and definitely got what I paid for. I agreed with my friend that I saw it with that it did the job that I expected it to. Great flick, definitely a DVD purchase. FWIW, the book Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield is WAY better than the movie in my opinion.

Apparantly Iran is in a bit of a huff stating its feelings are hurt for the way the Persians were portrayed in the movie.

Haven't seen it yet but I read somewhere that Damon Caro and Chad Stahelski (two of Guro Dan's top guys) did the choreography and training for the film. Looking forward to seeing it.
