Snatch Grip Deadlift from a Deficit
Hello everybody! I am new around here, pleasure to meet you guys. :)
I recently started experimenting with the snatch grip deadlift from a three inch deficit. I am around 5'11'' so I basically start from a full squat position. The movement feels completely natural and just awesome. I am a huge fan of this exercise. The only problem I have is that it seems to stress my rotator cuff quite a bit. I basically have three questions: - Am I overrating it when I think it combines the best of the squat and the deadlift? - What is a truly strong snatch grip deadlift from a three inch deficit? My best is 365 for a triple. - Any advice how to save my rotator cuff from excessive stress? If you have any questions or comments, I will try my best to get back to you asap. Thanks. |
Maybe overrating it a bit if you mean that it could replace the squat.
365x3 is pretty good. the question is what it looks like. It shouldn't bother your RC. Figure out what's wrong w your RC and fix it. I doubt the DL is the actual problem. |
