Power Rack / Half Rack?
I'm trying to find a good power rack for my home gym. I am looking for the following:
-Very close pin placement
-Medium-thickness pull-up bar
-Able to store bumper plates in the air on the sides so that I don't need to reach down to get them (25kg, 20kg, 15kg, 10kg, and ideally space for 5kg, 2.5kg and 1.25kg)
-Sturdy and reliable (probably the heaviest thing I would do are pin deadlifts up to ~675lbs with some dropping fast on missed reps)
-Wide base (or somehow allows a sumo squat/pin deadlift from raising the bottom)
-Band pulling inserts
-Half racks or racks with front pegs are nice for jerks.
Here are some that I saw that might work, but I'd love some opinions based on meeting the above criteria for the best price (and whether they'd allow minor customizations):
I am not sure how much I am willing to spend, but definitely nothing over $3,000. I'd probably like to stay around $1,600 or less shipped.
I bought an unpainted rack from Texas Strength Systems, with a drop in bench, fat/skinny pull-up bar, and extra J-hooks for $1100 delivered to the Midwest.
It is heavy, stable, and I've been very happy.
