Snatch feedback...

Hi,

Just recorded my snatches recently.. have 3 videos up.

1. this one was like close to 80% of my max till now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3DRW...ature=youtu.be

front angle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P32tl...ature=youtu.be

2. this one was 90% or so of my max

Please do give feedback on every aspect. 1st pull, 2nd pull, hip extension, jumping too high, catching bar too high..

Keep the weight over your heels a bit longer and push against the floor with the legs a bit longer; then get the shoulders a bit farther back at the top of the extension (i.e. slight backward lean).

When you say "Keep the weight over your heels a bit longer and push against the floor with the legs a bit longer", do you mean in the starting position or till the second pull (extension)? Does that mean do i have to slow down the first pull?

It is also that my double knee bend is also less? shouldn't the knees extend till the length of the toes when looking from it sideways? Mine are nearly straight before the extension.

I mean as you finish the extension (second pull), continue pushing against the ground as you extend the hips.

Your knees maybe get a bit too straight too soon, but not that bad. I would focus more on keeping your chest up during the first pull rather than allowing your hips to rise faster than your shoulders.

New update on snatch

Hi Greg, Have recorded another video. Do you see any improvement over the previous ones posted above. Is that level of jumping ok? its something that happens with me during the extension.

bump :-)

Balance overall is maybe a bit improved. You need to be more patient with the arms and push the bar back into your hips more though.

Thanks Greg.
