Long Legs
I'm having a hard time getting the correct starting position so that I can sweep the bar in on the first pull. Because of my long femurs, the bar always swings away when it breaks the floor. It seems the only way I can stop this from happening, is to start with high hips and my shoulders far in front of the bar. I'm told that this is not the correct way to start though. Any ideas? Thanks

You start position is fine - what you need to do is move everything back, not just the bar, as you separate it from the floor - bar, knees, hips and shoulders. Think of sitting back slightly as you stand. This will move the bar and your weight back over your heels and not affect your posture. You really don't need much - an inch or two.
