Beginner Cycle Selection Advice, Please
I'm formerly a powerlifter/strongman transitioning into weightlifting. I've been following some beginner templates for a few months, and have moved on to following the 5 week front squat cycle. Afterwards, I was going to go into the 12-week basics cycle so that my programming focuses more on positioning and technique work instead of power. Is this my best possible choice?
Additionally, if I'm a hip and back dominant lifter, should I sub out the weighted back extensions for a front squat or overhead squat?

the 12 week basic cycle would be a good one. after that 5 week front squat cycle, you should be feeling a bit better squatting upright. if you want in your next cycle to push that further, throwing in some more overhead squats is fine, but i would do it more as a mobility thing (working with weights in the 50-70% of snatch kind of range).
