Hi i have been lifting for 2 months since having surgery on my ACL and LCL. I was wondering if i could have some advice on technique, drills to perform or even a program to be on. Also on another note i have the book a program of multi year weightlifting and i was wondering if it would be advisable to perform the initial week workouts monday to thursday to work on technique and then max out on saturday. Once again any help will be greatly appreciated
It looks like you're shortening up your extension at the top. Keep pushing through the ground as long as you can. Something Greg told me that has always helped me finish my pull is to think about finishing with my shoulders behind my hips. I suggest doing some snatch/clean pulls and really focus on finishing that pull.
You're also diving through in the bottom position. It looks like it make be an ankle mobility issue or a lost range of motion in the knees from surgery. Do some ankle stretches before your lift and I would also suggest doing some Zots presses before you snatch and really focus on keeping your torso as upright as possible.
But all around it looks like you move pretty well after having knee surgery.

thanks for the reply, knee mobility is fine but for some reason my ankles tightened up a hell of a lot, been a big struggle getting them to where they are atm but will plug away at that. Thankyou for your imput, think i need to try and keep on my heels a little longer, ill try some pulls and work on not cutting it short
i felt it got better towards the end of bar work and the end of snatch portion of the workout

Yeah definitely much better towards the end. The only thing I noticed is that you are swinging the bar out away from your body. It got a little better st the end when you were doing those snatch high-pulls + hang snatch. Think of pulling down with your elbows straight up. Keep working on that torso position in the bottom. It's a lot better but I'd say you're still diving forward some.
was meant to be doing doubles but ended up doubling 93% of max so ended with a 7kg pb on the snatch for a single all in all good day at the office

Great job Olly. Congratulations on the PB! It's a little more difficult to see from this closer view but it looks like you're keeping the bar closer and your bottom position looks better. Keep pushing into the ground and get your body as extended as possible on the second pull. Keep working on those pulls.
