Awesome post.

Sprinters have conspicuously greater body and muscle masses than slower endurance specialists.

Specialists in shorter distance races were generally more massive than those in longer ones. Within both sexes, the most massive specialists were those in the sprint events of 100, 200 and 400 m whose masses were roughly equal to one another.

Power-bias, anyone?

I've been looking at this for a while quietly taking notes and I think its a cool subject. It is as if there is an Athletic BMI where you are most efficient for your activity within a specific body composition for sure.

I'm seeing this alot with CrossFit, might be obvious to say but you are what you do as much as what you eat!
