I think its safe to say that yes, CrossFit will help this person but with the caveat that you need to load and progress him in a smart and safe way. Can he squat? Press? Walk, run? Body Row? These are the movement you need to look at first then look to medicine ball throws and more complex skills. Is he a fall risk? Do you need to use a gait belt if he is? Itís not rocket science but it is a challenge to tailor these potentially intense, functional movements to the needs of the folks we are training.
