I ate this way, not on purpose, before a workout. Finished a 19 hour fast, ate a chunk of turkey and drank some olive oil. The workout was more of a strength/metcon style workout. Didn't feel like I had that boost I was looking for. I'll have to try that same workout again, with a little carbs in my pre-workout meal. I know you were referencing a strength workout. I'll test in for a metcon as well.
