i tend to try to sweeten nothing unless it's a cheat day. i feel happy when i've reduced carb intakes to low enough levels that just a lemon in water tastes more sweet than sour. i have a history of problems with food binges, so the more i avoid sweet tastes, the harder it is to handle them in bulk. thus i feel successful when i can fully appreciate the beautiful minute flavors that exist in a lemon in water that are otherwise hard to sense.
