Yes IF is a fancy word for not eating and getting most of the fast from sleeping. Although a true IF is.....wait for it.....Intermittent. Also most tend to fall into the ranges of 16hr-24hr. The hormonal benefits of longer fasts can also be a nice plus to throw in once in a while. In the end.....no real hard and fast rules, find what works, eat for your activity level, choose healthy foods over crap and you should get good health and results. That and the pure randomness of length of eating makes it intermittent by heart....throw out the clock and just eat when your body tells you to during the day.....as it's 1:30 and I still haven't eaten yet....some days it is Noon....some days earlier or later....I tend to eat later though too....so there will be some pillaging to do later.
