Darryl, from what I read it looks like medicinal wild yam is treated like an herb, brewed in a tea or something and not eaten like potatoes or root vegetables so it would not necessarily have the same glycemic effect. Anyway, one could make the argument that it's still part of a Paleo-type diet.

Yael, you can eat more junk food? That's exactly the opposite effect I've experienced (and I guess Gittit has experienced as well).
