I'd do the interval/metcon stuff 3x a week with IF.....don't get total adrenal blowout...that and it allows you go to harder with each session, promoting more hormonal responses and fat loss potential. If you wanted more muscle gain or did more muscle breakdown, then I would suggest eating pwo.
