I think you can play the numbers a little if you compensate with exercise and intermittent fasting.
I think the most important is to make sure the body often is set to burn stored fat/carbs and not just get calories from the bowel. The more often and the more carbs one eats the more likely gene expression for lipolytic enzymes are shut off.
You can tell the body has reverted back to carbohydrate fueled system when one starts craving carbs.
