Ham Shanks-works for Breakfast-Lunch and Dinner
Definitly a Pork Fest Weekend.
Was at my local butcher a few times over the Holiday's, and kept looking at these funky big honkin pieces of Pork. Tells me that there cured Ham Shanks, taste good and recipes are only limited to your imagination.
Well, bought 5lbs, tossed a few into my slow cooker, added handful of garlic, few other spices, cranked that baby on high, 4 hours later, alot of the fat had melted away, and you can just pick and eat the meat right off the bone.
Dang good, and pretty cheap. These babies are going to be in my freezer year round.
