Contrast hydro to the area.
Nothing that hurts, that will only lengthen healing time.
If stretching the anterior chain muscles involved makes things worse or seems to be prolonging recovery time, stop all stretching of the area. I once lengthened the recovery time of a torn gastroc muscle by two weeks by constantly stretching it and re-tearing it (I was also doing triathlons at the time, it was a dark period for me, ha).
