One of the first signs your body gives you when you are overdoing your training is a distinct lack of motivation to workout. A lack of "snappiness" in your workout is another good sign.
You might get the quickest recovery by taking a week completely off, except for maybe stretching/yoga/prehab/rehab stuff.
At the point you're at, going from 6 days to 5 probably won't do it. Not enough of a difference to matter.
