I would get an MRI. It's clear that most stuff didn't work.
Although if you want you can try pure rest + massage/foam rolling/etc. to loosen up everything and see if that helps.
It SOUNDS like a labrum tear from the "in the joint" pain, which can pretty much be only fixed by surgery. That's why figuring this out is a good idea especially if you wanna lift weights and so you don't get any further imbalances.
What you SHOULD have done is RESTED and done rehab work right after the injury. If it didn't clear up within 2 weeks then see a doctor. I can't believe you let it go for 9 months without seeing a doc... that's just foolish man.
