I'm pretty chubby at 255 and I can do about 20 consecutive "nose ups" with no kip. If you ask for a "chin up" - you'll need to distinguish "which chin."
I can only do about 5 chest to the bar dead hangs. I could probably get the tip of my goatee over the bar for a good set of 10 to 15 dead hangs if I was fresh.
It's all relative and a function of years of training. And I'm proud of my ab/android. I've got a lot invested in him. Plus it matters less the more you approach middle age and the closer your children get to becoming legitimate teenagers.
