Garrett -

i would throw them in for maybe a week or two following a pause-squat cycle like Matt was having you do. So let's say you spend 2 weeks doing pause squats; the next little cycle you might do 1 1/4s 1x/week instead of one of your normal squat workouts before moving back into normal squatting.

Or if you're doing pause squats more than 1x/week, you could substitute the 1 1/4s on one of the days.

You can even do what Jamie says and do them on the way up to your working weight, although taken too far, they'll definitely leave you hurting for the heavy weights out of the bottom.
