i found getting enough protein in (200g) while on a limited calorie diet really hard when i was eating alot of red meat as my main source of protein.

i found a switch to eating more kangaroo (or venison) made a huge difference.

mind you i was using fitday which didnt differentiate between cuts or grass/grain fed.

id definitely trim off visible fat. add it back in when you are maintaining.
