many of us who've used IF have noticed this trend: While fasting your ability to exert external force goes up, but metcon drops. When timings are more regular metcon goes right back up! At least its been my experience. So basically if I'm fasting and I'm about to go do something involving intense metcon I'll have a 3-4 block zone meal consisting of lean, low glycemic, whole foods about 1-2 hours prior.
