Stress can lead to more issues with insulin sensitivity (key for insulin to help transport nutrients across muscular cell membranes for repair/building) and cortisol (which can in turn lower GH and other anabolic hormones). Not good....hence why I said in a recent article, the best way to gain muscle IMO is doing more walking! (great mental stress reliever and keeps the body more in a state of recovery than ongoing stress compared to more intense cardio)
