Like Scott said, don't get too wrapped up in the randomness of it all. People do fine on a Fast-5 set up, Eat Stop Eat, Leangains etc.
If you really enjoy random, then go for it. I personally can't really stand random anymore. Spontaneous... yes. Random, not for me.
And if you don't think kettleball squat cleans are difficult, I say, step up to the med-ball
