Great find. That's not the one I saw in the article I read, but I think I like this one better. I'm a very light sleeper, even with my black out curtains, as the smallest amounts of light start to shine around the edges, it's enough to wake me up. I'm sure this clock would do the job for me.

The dusk/dawn simulators (BioBrite, Phillips and others) seem to get too many bad reviews for unreliability on Amazon. And they all seem to have green or red LEDs.
The Zen clocks don't have radios (now, there's a surprise).
My problem isn't waking up, it's sleeping well during the night. The ideal clock would be a normal clock radio with a display that turns off during sleep hours. Who needs to know what time it is when he should be sleeping anyway?
Have you looked at Brookstone? They make a basic alarm clark that doesn't have illuminated numbers on it for something like $30.
