Default Dan John On Hypertrophy

Just watched his video on Pmenu's blog page. I found that rather interesting as I have always viewed training priorities as building strength first , and hypertrophy as a result, but not the goal. No disrespect to Dan John though. Does anyone else have any insight into this?
