Ideally this would be the case. But depending on how much trail running, age, and stress levels outside of training it changes the equation.
Every once in a while things have to get changed because of this. Even people who are just lifting may have to go to 2 days/week at 2 workouts per day when they are working out to allow more time for recovery.
That's why I was asking. To see if anything like this had come up before.
