Thanks for the response Blair,

I do plan on building the blocks, but between buying/renting tools and the supplies I still need to spend some time saving up for it. Not as long as it will take to save for the bar, but it will be a little while.

My long term goal is to make it to nationals, I don't care if I come in last, I just want to go. I have a very obsessive personality, so for me "recreational" and "working my butt off" are the same thing.

I do have a fairly thin bone structure. I'm sure I could fill out 85 pretty well, but it would definitely take me quite a few years to get a good composition at 94. Maybe I'll split it up. Get to 85 quickly, spend a year maintaining and getting body comp better, than work on a long term shift to 94
