Yrik Vardanian...
Looking for other examples of long, lean OL'ers...I'm interested in starting positions for tall guys and how they compare to more "normally" put together lifters.

I see Kolecki's only 6'0", which I know makes him a Titan in olympic weightlifting. How tall is Vardanian?

Just read an interview with yurik's son who said he was 5' 9" "a little taller" than his dad...I guess I thought Yurik was taller than that...whatever.

Andy -
For tall lifters, you're pretty much stuck with superheavies - and most of them aren't that tall. And they all start in pretty similar positions to the little guys.
The Vardanians actually start in a commonly low position - they just lead with the hips and bring the knees way back - so it's their pull, not their start, that's odd. And they're definitely rare examples.
