Default Lyle's Rapid Fatloss Handbook

Hey there. I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the ebook of Lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss Handbook that they could email me. I'm not trying to rip the man off, but I've tried for hours to buy it on his site and for some reason his site isn't working right. I'll send him a dang check after I read it, it's just that I want to get started on this right away. Thank you for your help.

First, that's not what this forum is for, Kellen.

Second, Lyle puts out tons of free material on his site and in his newsletter.

Third, I'm going to give you some unsolicited advice that I would've appreciated were I in your position. STOP F***ING AROUND AND FOLLOW A PROGRAM.

I just read all your posts, and your chief concerns seem to be losing weight, buying books about losing weight by "dudes who are shredded," and doing that programs that will burn fat. You have discussed HIIT, Afterburn, the V-Diet, IF+Zone, and fat loss stuff by Cosgrove, Lyle, and others. You have also mentioned that you have put together a program for yourself based on stuff here and on CF (but are also interested in RossE).

I hope I don't offend you by saying you're in no position to program for yourself just yet. Stop looking for answers in a book and listen to the smart people who have given you good advice. I don't understand the somewhat recent male fascination with male abs, but hey, every generation is different. Suffice it to say you can get there following any one of numerous training or nutrition programs. Pick one and stick with it. If you lose weight simply by buying books, we wouldn't be the obsese society we are. Good luck.

Gant makes a good point. The only magic elixir out there for rapid fat loss is commitment and discipline.

Despite what my posts may indicate, I'm not some teenager trying to get abs or to "get shredded like Brad Pitt in fight club." I am, believe it or not, an athlete. I had two knee surgeries, and that inactivity combined with beer consumption has led to me gaining unwanted weight that I'm now trying to get rid of. I'm not worried about abs, I want to be at a good level where I can push my athleticism and maybe look good too. I just don't want to be looked at as a pariah, it isn't easy being overweight and despite the general perception, there are those of us who want to do something about it.

I also wanted to add that even though it probably wasn't your intention, I don't appreciate being made to look like an ass clown. Granted, I'm not a professional like many people on this site, but I am knowledgeable from a lot of study I've done on my own. And I ask questions and read all these books and diets to gain knowledge and see what I can use and what I can throw out. I've never asked anything that didn't pertain to health and wellness and performance, so I just dont appreciate being made to look like a loser who doesn't know what he's talking about. Again, I don't believe that this was your intention but I was unhappy with the way your post came off.
