Hunger pains of death
Does anyone else ever get really bad hunger pains?
About a month ago my normal hunger pains went from semi-annoying but easily ignored, to WTF that really hurts. They will even wake me up.
When I eat it will go away, but start back up before any other sign of hunger.
Thoughts?
I post this in the mass gain section only because of its view rates and because i feel like i eat well over my maintenance calories. Sorry if this is the wrong place.

What'd your diet look like?
How many calories does it say you're eating per day in fitday?
What's your weight and height?

I'll have to do a few days as examples on fitday.com.
I'm 5'9" @158#
Yesterday's eating looked a bit like this:
5am- Smoothie w/ 2c milk, 1c coconut milk, 2c frozen strawberries, 1 scoop protein (EAS).
9am- 3 eggs 4 strips of bacon
12pm- 5 oz steak w/ 4 cups salad mix.
6pm- 3 burgers w/out bun, topped w/ 6 slices of bacon (total) and a slice of Colby Jack cheese each.
also:
3 bcaa caps in the morning, 10 fish oil caps, 1 multi.
3 liters of water.

Smoothies used to make me really hungry. Looks like you could use more plant foods in general, the fiber might help with this issue as well.

Roger that, and thank you for the advice. I'll take care of the veggies tonight, and follow through.
Any thoughts as to why it kicked up suddenly? I'm sure there was progression that I didn't notice. It just seemed that, all of a sudden, I was hungry enough to chew the butt end off of a wooden rocking horse.
Thanks again guys,
-Lawson

Did you start training more, or did you take a break from really hard training? Either one can stimulate the appetite pretty strongly.

Pregnancy transference. You will be smearing peanut butter on pickles very soon.

I agree with Gant... It seems like to me your body is tired of being 158. Keep eating, lift heavy, and put on some weight (unless you need to stay within a weight class for something or other extenuating circumstances). I mean you're married, you're going to be a dad soon... you're a man now.
Congrats on the baby btw.
