Default snatch and clean check

This was my first attempt at snatching anything more than the empty bar, there are two here @ 115#.
There are also some cleans, 3X115#, 135#, and 155#. I was just kind of playing around with the jerks.

I'm just starting out with these and wanted to see what you guys thought before I go adding any weight to the bar.

Thanks

I'm not sure if I am right about this, but I dont think anyone can give you any worthwhile criticism until you go to a more challenging weight. Basically you are just throwing that around and going through the motions formwise.

There are a few things you can improve that will help you when you put some more weight on the bar.

1- start with lower hips and a straight back. this will put you in more of a power position for the 2nd pull.

2- try not to leave the floor after the second pull, focus on transfering momentum to the bar efficiently. also, no early arm bend! (this will come with time)

3- keep the bar as close to your body as possible. (this will also come with time).

that s not all bad!

what jake said really, also i would add: finish the pull! stand up with the weight, or reach as high as possible, whichever coaching point works for you!
also: you need to get plates that allow you to pull form the same position everytime, otherwise you confuse yourself with the starting position.
