Default Mass Gain on IF

Recently I have been following Crossfit Football and IFing with a 7 hr feeding window and making some strength and lean mass gains. I starting IFing because it fits very well with my work schedule and I like training fasted. However, I am wondering if I am short changing myself at all by trying to get stronger/more powerful while IFing. As long as I am consuming the proper amount of calories in my eating window, am I limiting my potential with IF?

Just eat big post workout. I have seen a lot of success mixing cottage cheese, whey, nuts, fish oil, coconut, etc and two digestive enzymes in a blender and slamming that towards the end of my lift. One of the few things I have tried that seems to really help.

Edit: Just FYI that shake can have as much as 100g of protein. Most people say thats excess, but if you can digest it relatively quickly, which you can with the enzymes, I think it makes a difference. Also gets the fats emulsified and in your system faster.

Are you content with the gains you are making?

If stronger and more powerful is your goal, I would say you are limiting your potential.

You can put down much more food without that 7 hour window, yet your gains may not be as lean. Loosing fat is alot easier than gaining lean mass IMO.

Sounds like you are making gains that you want, and unless there are problems it doesn't seem like you need to change anything. Be careful not to screw up what's working by searching for "the next better thing."
