Default Protein timing

I know carb timing and manipulation is big...but what about protein timing?

What are the most important times for protein (whether it be food, whey or BCAA) would you rate from most important to least:
- Post Workout (30-60min)
- Pre Workout (30 min prior)
- First thing AM (waking up)
- Before Bed (to keep muscle catabolism at a min during sleep)
- Middle of the Night (I know the bodybuilding world loves that one)

Since no reponses Sam, I would personally guess:

1) post workout
2) AM
3) PM
4) pre workout
5) rest of day

Although if you did a meal rich in protein every 3 hours that pretty much covers it all. (except maybe the immediate pwo)

I did see another thread (which may where I got the idea for this question) on taking in the majority of protein for the day post workout was effective in gaining muscle when compared to even meals throughout the day.

It probably all boils down to your goals.
