That's depressing to hear since I love cashews. Guess I'll have to at least tone it down. Don't tell me almonds fall under the same category. I'll slit my wrists.

The French naturalist Andre Thevet encountered Brazilian natives eating the roasted seeds of the cashew apple in 1558 suggesting that they can be harvested and processed without too much difficulty using methods that mesolithic hunter-gatherers would have routinely used to process other toxic foods.

Kyle, if you like cashews, eat them. Try not to be too dogmatic about what is Paleo vs. what is not. If it works for you, go for it. That doesn't mean don't try cutting them out and seeing if it affects you.
