So eat two eggs. More protein and other good stuff.
Your response doesn't address the issue. It just diddles with numbers.

Olive oil has calories... a lot of it.. the issue is with mass gain. More calories = more weight gained over time.
You would have to eat a lot of eggs to equal the caloric amount of a a couple table spoons of olive oil.

Yeah, a lot of fat will definitely make visits to the restroom a bit more interesting. A lot of liquid fat will make sprints to the restroom more interesting.
I believe I will actually be involved in shots of olive oil quite soon. I'm thinking I need to gain some weight.

I still don't understand the value of empty calories from fat.
Cheese. Fish. Milk (per Rippetoe). Fat, plus protein and other nutrients.
Or is drinking fat the poor man's way?

It's not like people are saying eat fat instead of protein, this is normally on top of whatever people can shovel into their mouth.

If weight gain is the goal, then more protein should be the first focus...as most don't eat enough of that. Then calorie intake...but like stated above, it's funny how whole food sources of protein (meats, nuts, eggs) have also plenty of fat and cholesterol which are neccessary for hormones for muscle building. Eating mostly low fat chicken and olive oil will just leave people skinny and spending too much time in the bathroom.

My impression is that lots of people adding fat are limiting their intake--zone blocks or whatever, then adding fat. So they're not shoveling it in.
I guess I'm suggesting shovel it in first. If you've got room for fat, you've got room for another egg. Just ask Cool Hand Luke.

Can't it be both? Shovel it in... then eat another egg, then take a shot of olive oil...repeat. More calories is usually a good thing when gaining weight right? Low volume of space taken up for a high level of energy consumed with the olive oil, assuming protein is in order and carbs are adequate?
