One of my " boy's " loves to clean and jerk...
So, today was my first day coaching the boy's team though I worked with them on Monday and skipped Wednesday.
At one point, Ben, picks up a floor bar and says watch me clean and jerk it.
So, he does it and I told him he just gained about 10 points in my book.
He is also a short, stocky lil guy new into gymnastics ( 1st year of competition after training for 6mo ). Probably too short for football at 10yo and maybe too light. Good wrestler/weightlifting build ( short, thick shoulders, strong legs ).
Apparently, he loved watching it during the olympics. I think maybe we'll have to start doing the burgener warmup in our warmup for fun. I'm sure the boys would love this, anyways.
Maybe, then I could justify buying and wearing Coach B's shirt at the gym. I'm sure that would pretty much ostracize me in the gym. Might be fun if those boys were older, though.
