I'm a big fan of my VFF's and so far haven't been too irritated by the questions I get.

Don't worry about the glass. I have yet to come across any, walking 3-5 miles, most days of the week, with a lot of it being on sidewalks, streets, or vast expanses of parking lots. If I were to step on some now, I have a feeling it wouldn't be all that painful. Given another month or two, I probably wouldn't feel it at all.
As for the social taboo against barefootedness, I can't help you there. Thank goodness for college where no one gives a **** what you do.

I figured out what I don't like about my VFF KSO's....I don't like jump roping in them because today I kept getting the rope stuck between the toes. Heh.

Something makes me think you're failing on the "jump" part.

For those of you who have been happily wearing them for a while- should a person buy them the exact size of their foot? Or leave a little room like in regular shoes?
Another way of putting it: Should they fit like a snug glove or not?
Thanks.

Mine were a little tight when I bought them but they seemed to loosen up after a couple hours of use. I would get them snug.
