That may help his MMA career short-term, but I'd venture a guess (and I think Stuart McGill would too) that doing that exercise will RUIN his lumbar spine.
Marv has a book/system called ProBodX, where he outlines all this stuff. Off the top of my head, there were a few pro baseball guys that he claimed (Steve Finley was one, I believe). I played around with some of it a few years ago--some of the higher-level stuff is cool in a Cirque de Sole kind of way. Whether I would depend on it if I were a combat-sport athlete...maybe not so much.
